A comparative study of catalytic opening of epoxides by alcohols
Ring-opening reactions of aromatic and aliphatic epoxides have been developed for a variety of nucleophilic agents (various alcohols) using immobilized enzymes and inorganic compounds as catalysts to obtain bifunctional molecules that can be used to make intermediate products of industrial interest.
