High-Pressure Phase-Equilibria and Densities of the Binary-System Carbon-Dioxide Methyl Laurate
The equilibrium compositions and densities in the gaseous and liquid phases of the binary system carbon dioxide/methyl laurate (dodecanoic acid methyl ester) have been measured at 40 degrees C, 50 degrees C and 60 degrees C, and at pressures up to 120 bar. Equilibrium was attained by recirculating both phases through a high-pressure view cell. A vibrating sensor tube was used to determine densities. Compositions were measured by taking samples from both phases by means of six-way valves.
