The combined effect of reagent and reagent-free methods of external actions on friction, lubrication, and wear processes was investigated: on a friction machine, in model bench tests, and performance of vehicles. The synergistic effect of the complex action of a magnetic field and metal-containing additives on lube oil was found. In the tribocouples of a crank mechanism, the proposed method ensures a decrease in friction and wear, and an increase in the load capacity of friction surfaces, including in internal combustion engines.
