Early development of high compressive strength is a key performance specification for oilwell cementing. Early strength ensures structural support for the casing and hydraulic/mechanical isolation of downhole intervals. To replace rules-of-thumb slurry design, a simulator was developed to design cement slurries. The simulator models the setting and strength development of the cement slurry.
