A model for a dense phase circulating fluidized bed
A model for a dense phase circulating fluidized bed (DPCFB) is proposed. The model incorporates a new approach to the modelling of the riser and gas cross-flow between interconnected sections around the circulation loop. It is found that gas leakage is inevitable and must be incorporated in the modelling of solids circulation. Model predictions compare well with experimental results from a compartmented DPCFB.
