Synthesis of removable and repositionable water-borne pressure-sensitive adhesive acrylics
This publication shows the synthesis of the water-borne removable pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) based on acrylates and the influence of parameters such as internal emulsifiers on peel adhesion on steel and also the influence of N-methylol acrylamide and plasticizers on peel adhesion on glass, poly(vinyl chloride), and polypropylene during aging time. Removable and repositionable pressure-sensitive adhesives based on acrylic polymers are used for the production of removable memo notes, paper and foil labels, double-sided tapes, carrier-free tapes to protective films, and manufacturing aids.
