Simulation, Optimization and Data-Reconciliation of Industrial-Chemical Processes
This paper presents simulation strategies that allow efficient solution of problems related to simulation, optimization and data-reconciliation of industrial chemical processes. The simulation strategies address the difficulties associated with obtaining a converged solution when dealing with highly coupled process flowsheets. The ammonia process flowsheet is used as an example to illustrate the advantages of employing the proposed simulation strategies. The numerical results also demonstrate the advantage of model identification and adaptation (for optimization problems) with data-reconciliation.
