The (p, rho, T) of methanol, ethylbenzene and (methanol + benzene) and (methanol + ethylbenzene) at temperatures between (290 and 500) K and pressures in the range (0.1 to 60) MPa have been measured with a magnetic suspension densimeter with an uncertainty of +/- 0. 1%. Our measurements with methanol deviate from the literature values by less than 0.2%. The (p, rho, T) measurements were fitted with experimental uncertainties by an empirical equation. The temperature and mole fraction dependence of the coefficients of the equation of state are presented. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
