Influence of Coke Profile on Regeneration Temperatures in Fixed-Bed Reactors
The regeneration of coked catalyst in a fixed bed has been studied by means of the temperature profiles along the axis of the reactor. Coke deposition profiles have been measured and compared with the resultant temperature peaks. The velocity of the moving combustion zone has been interpreted in terms of the extent of coke laydown and from a comparison of the calculated and measured regeneration times, a suggested mechanism for the process is given.
