Crystallization - Meeting the Environmental Challenge
This paper addresses the ways in which environmental pressures will influence the science and technology of crystallization. The underlying environmental driving forces are examined. Needs for materials substitution, reduction of waste generation during downstream processing and design for recycling are identified as problem areas, While some of these problems reinforce already important research/development areas, others open new challenges.
