Some cubic equations of state accurately predict P-T behavior near the critical point, but do not properly predict density or volume. Calculation of P-T coexistence curves may be computationally complicated. Improvement of property predictions and decrease in computational effort may result from studying predicted limiting behavior near the critical point. This was done for the Soave-Redlich-Kwong equation of state.
