The use of recycle in chemical reactors leads to the appearance of the so-called multiple steady states. An important characteristic of these states results from the fact that not all of them are stable. The principal objective of the present work is to devise and analyse a system for automatic control of a reactor with recycle that would guarantee stability of potentially unstable steady states of the process.
