A New Linear Formula for Cyclic Adsorption in a Particle
A simple linear formula is developed for estimation of the mass exchange rate between an adsorbent particle and its surroundings undergoing a cyclic change in concentration. The formula is shown to be valid for any cycle period, and the coefficients in the formula are simple functions of the cycle period and fully predicted. Sample calculations demonstrated that the formula provides an excellent representation of the mass exchange rate in cyclic adsorption systems.
