Adsorption permeability characteristics of ampholyte immobilized hollow-fiber membrane
Porous hollow-fiber membrane were prepared by radiation-induced graft polymerization of an epoxy-group-containning monomer glycidyl methacrylate, and subsequent addition of taurine(NH2CH2CH2SO3H). Adsorption characteristic and fulx of different conversion by the taurine-introduced porous hollow-fiber membrane (TAU membrane) were researched. Taurine prevented a marked decrease in liquid permeability without a marked decrease in Cu ion binding capacity. The amphoteric ligand resulting from the addition of taurine to the epoxy group of the graft chain was effective in balancing the liquid permeability.
