유기오염물질의 전기분해를 위한 TiO2/ITO 전극 구조 개발
Development of TiO2/ITO Electrode for the Electrochemical Degradation of Organic Dye Pollutant
We studied electro-chemical treatment of organic dye pollutant by using TiO2/ITO electrode. which was prepared by spin coating and post-annealing at 550℃. At +5VDC voltage. the degradation rate of dye(C.I ; Basic_Blue_26) was quite small (-3.0% at 1hr) due to shottky barrier between solution and TiO2. However, at sufficient large voltage (+10V). the degradation rate significantly increased (53.3% at 1hr) by OH radical generation by electron tunneling to conduction band of TiO2 semiconductor. We suggest that the TiO2/ITO electrode be applied to the electro-chemical treatment of dye pollutants without light source.
