Design of an adapter for ultrasound transducer under high operating temperatures and pressures in a slurry bubble column reactor
This paper describes the design of an apparatus that enables ultrasound measurements in a slurry bubble column at industrially-relevant operating conditions of high temperatures and pressures. Preliminary results demonstrate that ultrasound measurements can be conducted at temperatures LIP to 200 degrees C, at pressures up to 1.36 MPa, and at superficial gas velocities of up to cms(-1) in the nitrogen-Drakeol system.
