Temperature memory effect in CuAlNi single crystalline and CuZnAl polycrystalline shape memory alloys

Temperature memory effect (TME) induced by incomplete cycling in CuAlNi single crystalline and CuZnAl polycrystalline shape memory alloys were investigated by differential scanning calorimeter. Results showed that the TME is a common phenomenon in shape memory alloys, caused by a partial martensite to parent phase transformation. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
