The Internet business model-minimal physical assets, little management hierarchy, and a direct pipeline to customers-has become the new orthodoxy, and it is transforming cost and service equations across the corporate landscape. Even the doubters, like General Electric＇s Jack Welch and Rupert Murdoch of News Corporation, have been converted.
