Transient frequency modulation absorption spectroscopy of molecules produced in a laser ablation supersonic expansion source
Transient frequency modulation absorption spectroscopy has been applied to transition metal containing molecules generated in a laser ablation/chemical reaction supersonic expansion. The (0,0) A "(1)Sigma(+) - X(1)Sigma(+) band system of PtC (v = 12643 cm(-1)) and the (1,0) C(3)Delta(1)-X(3)Delta sub-band system of TiS (v = 12065 cm(-1)) were recorded in single pass through the expanding gas 4 cm from the source.
