Photoluminescence of [Rh-III(phpy)(2)(CN)(2)](-)(phpy(-) = ortho-metalated 2-phenylpyridine anion)
The complex anion [Rh-III(phpy)(2)(CN)(2)](-) with phpy(-) = 2-phenylpyridine anion shows a blue-green photoluminescence at room temperature in solution (lambda(max) = 460 and 490 nm, phi approximate to 0.006). The emission originates from a triplet state of the ortho-metalated phenylpyridine ligand.
