Relativistic computations of the electronic states of the superheavy element 114 and 114(+)
Relativistic complete active space multi-configuration interaction followed by multi-reference configuration interaction computations are carried out for the electronic states of the newly discovered superheavy element 114 and 114(+). Many unusual periodic trends in the energy separations of the electronic states of the element 114 and 114(+) and unusual features in electronic state compositions are found due to relativistic effects.
