New Thermoplastic Elastomers - Formulation, Compounding and Material Properties
This article described novel thermoplastic elastomers (TPO) consisting of a PP matrix and a synthetic rubber phase crosslinked in a new way with organosilanes. The mechanical and rheological properties of the blend an determined primarily by the phase structures produced in the course of compounding. PE-ULD can also be used as synthetic rubber in place of EP(D)M, with the attendant advantage of reduced swelling in oils.
