Differential cross section for electron impact excitation of the a(1)Delta g state of molecular oxygen in the 15-180 degrees angular range
The absolute differential cross section has been measured for excitation of the nu = 0 vibrational level of the a(1)Delta(g) excited state of molecular oxygen in a wide scattering angle range from 15 degrees to 180 degrees at an electron impact energy of 10 eV. The integral excitation cross section for the above state has been also obtained through integration of the measured differential cross section. Detailed comparison of the determined cross sections with the results of previous measurements and existing theoretical calculations has been given. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
