N,N,N'-tris(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,3-diamino-2-propanol (HTPPNOL) has been synthesized and a novel tetranuclear antiferromagnetic iron(III) complex, containing bridging acetate, ore, and alkoxo groups was characterized by X-ray crystallography, infrared, electronic, and Mossbauer spectroscopies and magnetic susceptibility measurements.
