A novel cyclam-like macrocyclic tetramine 10 with two bispidine units was synthesized by coupling of bispidine 7 with bispidine bis(alpha-chloroacetamide) 8, followed by reduction with DIBAL-H. The tetramine 10 revealed very strong basicity and lithium coordinating ability.
