New synthetic method of benzaldehydes and alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehydes with I-2 under photoirradiation
Benzylic alcohols and allylic alcohols were found to be oxidized to the corresponding benzaldehydes and alpha,beta -unsaturated aldehydes easily in the presence of I-2 under photoirradiation.
