Reductive aldol reaction of alpha-imino esters promoted by titanium tetraiodide: Selective synthesis of alpha-amino-beta-hydroxyesters
Under the influence of titanium tetraiodide reductive aldol reaction of N-tosylimines, derived from ethyl glyoxylate, with aldehydes proceeded to give alpha -amino-beta -hydroxyesters in good yields.
