Orange emission of TbF3-containing fluoride oxide glass
A new fluoride oxide glass containing TbF3 was prepared in the composition of xTbF(3).20BaF(2).10AlF(3).(70-x)GeO2 (x=10-40). The temperature of melt was 1200degreesC. The glass transition temperatures were 600-800degreesC, depending on composition. Fluorescence spectra of the glasses were changed with Tb3+ concentration. The color of emission light changed from green to orange for x=10-30 and from orange to green for x=30-40.
