Synthesis and structure of a new 3D porous Cu(II)-benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylate coordination polymer, [Cu-2(OH)(BTC)(H2O)](n)center dot 2nH(2)O
The reaction of Cu(NO3)(2)(.)3H(2)O with benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid (H3BTC) and H2O under hydrothermal conditions affords a new three-dimensional porous coordination polymer, [Cu-2(OH)(BTC)(H2O)](n)(.)2nH(2)O, which contains 5 x 7Angstrom dimension lozenge shaped ID open channels along the crystallo-graphic a axis.
