Polyamine-functionalized mesoporous MCM-41 and SBA-15 were synthesized by the substitution of surface chloroalkyl group by linear polyamines. The structure of the functional group was determined by elemental analysis, Si-29 and C-13 MAS NMR, and IR spectroscopy to explore the effects of chain length and pore size on aqueous ion adsorption capability.
