Miniplant engineering for removal of heavy metals by reactive extraction processes
Mini-plants offer enormous time and cost savings during the development of an industrial process. First product samples and the performance of the whole process with all recycle streams is the result, eliminating the need for pilot scale experiments. The potential use of reactive processes in a miniplant environment is discussed on different extraction techniques as are liquid-liquid extraction, non-dispersive membrane extraction and solvent impregnated resins.
