INVESTIGATIONS ON THE INFLUENCE OF STEAM IN THE AIR AT THE ABSORPTION OF ORGANIC-COMPONENTS WITH HIGH-BOILING SCRUBBING AGENTS
Scrubbing liquids having a high boiling point are very important during the absorption of organic solvents from waste gases. They have small activity coefficients. A very often used scrubbing liquid is Polyethylenglykoldimethylether. The problem is, this scrubbing liquid is able to absorb water. This water has an influence on the activity coefficients. There are no usable facts available in the literature. Also the concentration of water in the liquide has a great influence on the regeneration process. At this process the thermal stability of the scrubbing liquids is very important. Combination variants of absorption and regeneration resulting from experiments in the laboratory will be calculated depending on water in the vapour and on different scrubbing liquids. The energy consumption of the variants will be compared.
