Porous chiral metal organic carboxylate frameworks with a double-interwoven SrSi2 topology: M-3(TTCA)(2)center dot 6DMF center dot 7H(2)O (TTCA = triphenylenetricarboxylate ; M = Zn2+, Cd2+)
We have succeeded in assembling a new trigonal aryne ligand, triphenylene-2,6,10-tricarboxylic acid (H(3)TTCA) with metal ions to give M-3(TTCA)(2) (.) 6DMF (.) 7H(2)O (M = Zn2+ and Cd2+) (DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide), which networks show non-interpenetrated porous metal carboxylate frameworks and belong to a novel doubly-interwoven SrSi2 topology.
