Novel inorganic-organic layered composite synthesized by polycondensation of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane associated with the self-assembly of alkanoate
We synthesized a layered organosilica with a self-assembled alkanoate interlayer. The bond between the alkanoate and aminopropylsiloxane is critical for the formation of such a structure. The surfactant can be exchanged with alkanoate with a different chain length to form other lamellar structures with a corresponding basal spacing.
