MATERIAL UTILIZATION OF BIOMASS IN COMBINATION WITH USED PLASTICS
The fascination of natural cycles is caused by their seeming perfection and nearly complete utilization of byproducts. This fascination stimulates chemists to design technical processes from an ecological point of view aimed at imitating cycles in economy. As an important example we consider the natural carbon dioxide cycle and its imitation by improved gasification processes of biomass especially combined with other residual materials. The vision has to consist in the development of durable concepts for both energy and chemical production concerning the finiteness of natural resources (fossil raw materials). The design of ''sustainable processes'' should be included from starting technical developments also for combined recycling tasks.
