READY-MADE DUSTFREE PARTICLES BY SOLIDIFICATION OF LIQUID MELTS
Grainy instead of powdery materials are favoured regarding the safety and hygiene in the handling using disperse solids especially if they are toxic or polluting media. Additionally the grained materials will support the possibility for the automation of downstream processes [1]. The solidification of drops by crystallization is one method of producing granular materials. The aimed properties of solidified particles have to be maintained by the product for a certain time. It is therefore of interest, that the dust content is not increasing due to the handling. In the following the crystallization effects will be discussed which are influencing the solidification of drops if crystallization is present at all.
