THERMOSELECT - EXTRACTION OF ENERGY AND RAW-MATERIALS .4. SAFETY AND PROCESSING FEATURES OF THE PROCESS WITH REGARD TO ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS AND THE QUALITY OF ITS FINAL PRODUCTS FROM THERMAL WASTE TREATMENT
Within a plant for thermal treatment of municipal waste high energy densities, high pressure, hypothetical release of big quantities of nocil and toxic components and other safety concerns generally need to be dealed with. The THERMOSELECT-plants for raw material and energy recovery from waste are designed using a maximum of process incorporated safety caracteristics which enable a riskless running of the plant and which garantee a reproductable high level quality of the products despite the varying composition of the heterogeneous waste. After a short introduction in the THERMOSELECT-technology the publication resumes and describes the most important safety caracteristics of the process starting from the waste storage using inertisation and ending with the various standard technologies for the synthesis gas conversion.
