Catalsyst's potential controlled hydrogenation - An easy method to regulate stationary substrate concentrations, to influence selectivities and to prolong the life-time of the catalysts
If used in hydrogenation processes metallic or metal containing catalysts in electrolytes exhibit a stationary hydrogen potential on the metal surface. In turbulent liquid phases this potential easily can be measured and may be used with certain advantage for process controlling. Examples are given for the hydrogenation of nitrobenzene, of o-nitrophenol, of butinediol and of trinitro-toluene.
