Long-term stability of the in situ electrophoretic activation of technical cathodes
The long-term stability of a new electrophoretic insitu activation of cathodes was tested under tough industrial conditions. It was seen in these tests that this activation, which employs electrocatalysts without expensive noble metals, can be applied, essentially without any disruption of hydrogen production and without any downtime of the electrolyzers. This activation proved to be stable in its effect and insensitive to catalyst poisoning over a number of years.
