A chiral disulfide derived from (R)-cysteine in the enantioselective addition of diethylzinc to aldehydes: loading effect and asymmetric amplification
A chiral disulfide derived from (R)-cysteine is described to catalyze the enantioselective addition of diethylzinc to benzaldehyde with high enantioselectivities at different catalyst loadings. Nonlinear effects have also been evaluated and the relationship between the ee of the catalyst and the ee of the product has been found to be strictly linear. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
