Temperature dependence of elastic properties of ZBLAN glasses
Temperature dependence of ultrasonic velocities (both longitudinal and transverse) in two ZBLAN glasses were determined by ultrasonic pulse-echo technique. The experimental results are used to obtain elastic constants. The temperature dependence of elastic properties of these glasses shows a very interesting correlation with the glass structure and can be used to determine the glass transition temperature.
