Corona discharge treatment of the plastified PVC films obtained by chemical grafting
The wettability and porosity of plastified poly(vinylchloride) (PVC) films were enhanced by a combination of two methods, respectively, by chemical grafting of hydrophilic additives and corona discharge treatment. Modifications of the surface morphology and surface energy are proved by scanning electron microscope images and contact angle measurements. It was found a better wettability and porosity of the plastified PVC films and a functionalization of the surface.
