Maker fringes as a tool for the orientation of noncentrosymmetric specimens
On the basis of a recent generalization of the Maker fringes theory, we have implemented an alternative use of the fringes aimed at disclosing the dielectric orientation of obliquely cut planks. The method (model transfer function, experimental layout, fitting) is outlined and its consistency is demonstrated. Some simulations for wide gap organic crystals are presented.
