DC electrical conductivity of Li2O-CdO-P2O5 glasses
The DC electrical conductivity as a function of Li2O/CdO has been measured on the lithium-cadmium-phosphate glasses which is in the range 9.20 x 10(-15)-4.83 x 10(-10) mho cm(-1). The barrier lowering coefficient beta has been determined which lies between 0.76 x 10(-4) and 0.55 x 10(-4) (eV cm(1/2) V-1/2). Th, temperature-dependent conductivity of these glasses has been examined in the temperature range 303-473 K. It reveals that the activation energy of these glasses lies in the range 0.47-0.94 eV. The density, molar volume, lithium ions concentration and Li-Li ion spacing has also been reported here.
