The initial phase shift phenomenon of RHEED oscillations
An interesting behaviour of the intensity oscillations of reflection high-energy electron diffraction during molecular-beam-epitaxy growth is investigated in this paper. The first period of reflection high-energy electron diffraction shows particular properties which are not yet clearly understood. An interpretation for the initial change of period length and phase from the incident angle of the electron beam is given here. This phenomenon is investigated in this paper in the case of growth of GaAs(0 0 1).
