Crack-free K3Li2-xNb5+2xO15+2x crystals grown by the resistance-heated Czochralski technique
We report that crack-free K3Li2-chiNb5+2 chiO15+2 chi crystals (KLN) have been grown by the resistance-heated Czochralski technique. The influence of melt composition and growth parameters on crystal growth and crystal cracks are described. Blue light (445-476nm) has been obtained by frequency doubling of the light wave (890-952nm) generated from a Ti:sapphire laser.
