Growth and characterization of YP0.1V0.9O4 crystal
Tetragonal zircon-type YP0.1V0.9O4 single crystal has been pulled using the Czochraski method from YVO4-YPO4 solid-phase system with pulling rate in the 1.5-1.8 mm/h range and the rotation rate at 10-15 r/min. The analytic result for the concentration of P element indicates that YP0.1V0.9O4 single crystal can be grown with stoichiometric compositions. The refractive index and the crystal lattice parameters were tested. The optical quality of YP0.1V0.9O4 crystal including the optical uniformity and the optical damage threshold was tested and identified. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
