Ni-In alloy nano-whiskers were synthesized by pulsed laser deposition and post-annealing of C-Ni-In mixture thin films. The growth mechanism of nano-whiskers is explained by the supersaturated liquid Ni-In alloys that were seeping out from a porous graphite thin film. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
