Crystal growth and spectral properties of Nd3+: Sr2La0.667(VO4)(2) crystal
This paper reports the crystal growth and spectral properties of Nd3+:Sr2La0.667(VO4)(2) crystals. Nd:Sr2La0.667(VO4)(2) crystal with dimension 20 x 15 x 15 mm(3) was grown by the Czochralski method. The segregation coefficients of Nd3+ in Nd3+:Sr2La0.667(VO4)(2) crystal is 0.52. The hardness of Nd3+:Sr2La0.667(VO4)(2) crystal is 374.6 VDH, and is about equal to 5.0 moh. Nd:Sr2La0.667(VO4)(2) crystal has a large FWHM of 21 nm at 810 nm. The absorption and emission cross-sections were 2.6 x 10(-20) cm(2) at 810nm and 16.4 x 10(-20) cm(2) at 1079 nm, respectively.
