Design of Online Measurement Strategy for a Continuous Bioprocess
The evaluation of sensors for a continuous ethanol fermentation was investigated. A procedure was suggested consisting of two steps. First, a sensitivity analysis provided the information on the preference of a certain type of sensor signal. Secondly, a controllability study showed the regions of sensor characteristics providing a good control action.
